COVID 19: Telangana reports 169 fresh COVID cases, one new death on Thursday
Around 189 citizens recovered from the infection on Thursday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,91,699.

One new death is reported on February 4, taking the total tally to 1,607. The fatality rate in the state is 0.54 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.4 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 31 new cases while Rangareddy reported 8 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 11 new cases while Karimnagar reported 10 new cases.

Around 189 citizens recovered from the infection on Thursday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,91,699. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 98.79 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 97.1 per cent.
The government tested 37,387 citizens for the virus on Thursday. So far 80,34,038 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 2,15,852. Still, 858 reports are awaited.
The state currently has 1,964 active cases. Of the total active cases, 780 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state bulletin, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
