COVID 19: Telangana reports 1,440 fresh COVID cases, Five deaths on Saturday

Five new deaths are reported on November 7 taking the total tally to 1,377. The fatality rate in the state is 0.55 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 278 new cases while Rangareddy reported 112 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 133 new cases while Khammam reported 91 new cases.
Around 1,481 citizens recovered from the infection on Saturday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,29,064. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 91.50 per cent, which approximately one per cent lower to the national average of 92.4 per cent.
The government tested 42,673 citizens for the virus on Saturday. So far 46,18,470 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,24,085. Still, 499 reports are awaited.18,776 primary contacts are tested on Saturday while 5,120 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 19,890 active cases. Of the total active cases, 17,135 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
