Five new deaths are reported on November 4 taking the total tally to 1,362. The fatality rate in the state is 0.55 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 285 new cases while Rangareddy reported 123 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 102 new cases while Karimnagar reported 86 new cases.
Around 978 citizens recovered from the infection on Wednesday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,25,664. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 91.85 per cent, which approximately lower to the national average of 92.2 per cent.
The government tested 44,327 citizens for the virus on Wednesday. So far 44,84,183 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,20,477. Still, 555 reports are awaited. 19,503 primary contacts are tested on Wednesday while 5,319 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 18,656 active cases. Of the total active cases, 15,864 are under home isolation. Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases. The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
