Telangana reports 3,052 new COVID19 cases, Hyderabad adds 406 cases on Monday
The state has 24,131 active cases currently of which 16,118 are under home isolation.

The state reported seven new deaths on April 12 taking the total death toll to 1,772. The fatality rate in the state is 0.53 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.3 per cent.
Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) area on Monday reported 406 new cases. The neighbouring Rangareddy district reported 248 new cases. Medchal Malkajgiri reported 301 and Sangareddy 123 new cases.
Other districts of Telangana are also seeing a surge in cases. Nizamabad on Monday reported 279 new cases while Nirmal reported 113 cases and Jagtial reported 135 cases.
Around 778 citizens recovered from the infection on Monday taking total recoveries to 3,06,678 in the state. The recovery rate, as per the government, now stands at 92.21 per cent, which is approximately four per cent higher than the national average of 89.5 per cent.

The government tested 1,13,007 citizens on Monday. So far 1,11,81,010 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 3,00,403. Reports of 4,135 samples are awaited. The state tested 49.5 per cent primary contacts while 12.5 per cent secondary contacts.
There are only 20 Government RT-PCR / CBNAAT / TRUENAT centres in the state. Around 60 private centres too are operational. On Monday, 1,04,603 tests were conducted at Government centres.
Also, out of total infection, 80.8 per cent were asymptomatic while 19.2 per cent are symptomatic.
Meanwhile, India on Tuesday registered 1.61 lakh new Covid-19 cases and 879 deaths in the past 24 hours, taking the country's tally to 1,36,89,453, according to the Union health ministry. The total active cases in the country stand at 12,64,698 while the total death toll is recorded at 1,71,058.
