Vaccination reaches Hyderabad: All you need to know
The first consignment of COVID-19 vaccine reached Telangana on 12 January.

At 11:30 am, the shipment arrived at the cargo terminal by Spicejet Freighter, SG7466 from Pune.

The Covishield vaccine consignment was handled as per the special protocol ensuring cool-chain integrity is maintained.
The consignment consisting of 31 boxes with 3.46 lakh dosages of Covishield vaccine were offloaded at the airport and sent to the state vaccine store in Koti.

At Koti, representatives from the Hindu, Muslim and Christian communities prayed for the consignment of the vaccine.
These vaccines will be sent for distribution at various district and state vaccine centres.
On 16 January, the vaccination will start at 139 locations and from next Monday it will be rolled out from 1,200 locations.
Around 3.10 lakh healthcare workers have registered till now for the vaccine, and they will get vaccinated first. Within 2 to 4 weeks, the first dose will be completed and after four weeks a second dose will be administered.

The state is also expecting 20,000 dosages of COVAXIN from Bharat Biotech.
On 16 January, 30 beneficiaries will receive the vaccine at each session site in the state.
