COVID-19:  Andhra Pradesh reports 115 new cases in last 24 hours

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh reported 115 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday.

With this, the total number of Covid-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh rose to 3,791 including 479 patients from other states and 112 foreign returnees.

A total of 12, 613 samples were tested in the past 24 hours in the state.

Officials of the Medical and Family Welfare Department said that a total of 41 patients have recovered and discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours.

The total number of those recovered in the state now stands at 2,407, including 197 people from others states and one foreign returnee. The number of active Covid-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh is now at 1,320 (927 from Andhra Pradesh, 282, and 111 from other states and foreign returnees respectively).

The death toll remained at 64 in the state. There was no new death reported in the state during the last 24 hours.

Kurnool district has reported the highest of 25 Covid-19 deaths followed by Krishna district with 18 deaths and Guntur district with 8 deaths.

Nellore and Anantapur districts have reported four COVID-19 deaths each while East Godavari and Chittoor districts reported two deaths each. Visakhapatnam district reported one death.

Andhra Pradesh continues to lead the table among the states in the conduct of Covid-19 tests per million.
