COVID-19: AP reports another death, 128 new cases

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh reported another death and 128 new Covid-19 cases on Thursday.
The lone Covid-19 death was reported from Kurnool district. With this. the death toll has increased to 59 in Andhra Pradesh
The total number of Covid-19 cases in Andhra Pradesh rose to 3,245, including 293 patients from other states and 111 foreign returnees.
With another 68 patients including 23 migrant workers discharged till Thursday, the total number of people recovered in the State now stands at 2,125. The number of active cases in the State is 950.
Officials of Medical and Family Welfare Department said that of the total 59 Covid-19 deaths in Andhra Pradesh, Kurnool district reported the highest of 22 followed by Krishna district 17 and Guntur 8.
Nellore and Anantapur districts registered four COVID-19 deaths, while East Godavari district reported two deaths. Vizag and Chittoor districts reported one death each.
A total of 9,858 samples were tested in the past 24 hours in Andhra Pradesh. A total of 1,469 expatriates have arrived in parts of Andhra Pradesh as part of the Centre’s Vande Bharat Mission and Kuwait government’s amnesty programme.
At present 111 foreign returnees tested Covid-19 positive in Andhra Pradesh and all cases are active.
