COVID-19 death toll rises to 44 and total positive cases 1,930 in AP

Vijayawada: With the death of three more Covid-19 patients, the death toll has increased to 44 in the state while the total Covid- 19 positive cases has gone up to 1,930, with the addition of 43 more Covid-19 cases on Saturday.

Since Friday night, Krishna district reported 16 cases while Chittoor district reported 11 cases, Kurnool district reported 6 cases and Vizag city reported five cases.

Over 45 patients have recovered, the government’s health bulletin said, adding that the total number of people cured in the state has risen to 887.

Of the three Covid-19 deaths in the state on Saturday, two were reported from Krishna district and one from Kurnool district.

Of the 44 Covid-19 deaths in AP, Kurnool district stood on the top of the table with 15 deaths followed by Krishna district with 13 deaths. Guntur district reported eight deaths and Anantapur district reported four deaths. Nellore district reported three deaths and Vizag city reported one death.

Kurnool district reported a total of 553 Covid-19 cases, highest in the state, followed by Guntur district with 376 cases and Krishna 338 cases.
