COVID 19: Telangana crosses 1.5L cases, 2,534 fresh cases on Wednesday
By Newsmeter Network Published on 10 Sep 2020 3:48 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana reported 2,534 new COVID cases on Wednesday taking the overall tally to 1,50,176 in the state.
Eleven new deaths are reported on September 9 taking the total tally to 927. The fatality rate in the state is 0.61 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.68 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 327 new cases while Rangareddy reported 195 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Nalgonda reported 149 new cases while Kamareddy reported 123 cases.
Around 2,071 citizens recovered from the infection on Wednesday taking the tally of total recoveries to 1,17,143. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 78.0 per cent, which approximately equals the national average of 77.83 per cent.
The state currently has 32,106 active cases.
The government tested 63,017 citizens for the virus on Wednesday. So far 19,53,571 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 52,619.
Of the total cases, 25,066 are under home isolation. Of those, 69 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 16.97 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 8.07 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 53.87 per cent. 46.13 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
Vacancy of beds:
The state currently has 17,712 vacant beds for COVID patients.
Around 11,463 isolation beds, 4,634 oxygen beds, and 1,615 ICU beds are lying vacant in different state hospitals.
