COVID 19: Telangana reports 1,416 fresh COVID cases, Five deaths on Saturday

Five new deaths are reported on October 31 taking the total tally to 1,341. The fatality rate in the state is 0.55 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 279 new cases while Rangareddy reported 132 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 112 new cases while Khammam and Karimnagar both reported 74 new cases.
Around 1,579 citizens recovered from the infection on Saturday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,20,466. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 91.84 per cent, which approximately one equals to the national average of 91.5 per cent.
The government tested 41,675 citizens for the virus on Saturday. So far 43,23,666 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,16,165. Still, 887 reports are awaited. 18,337 primary contacts are tested on Saturday while 5,001 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 18,241 active cases. Of the total active cases, 15,338 are under home isolation.
Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
