COVID 19: Telangana reports 1,445 fresh COVID cases, Six deaths on Friday
By Newsmeter Network Published on 31 Oct 2020 3:46 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana reported 1,445 new COVID cases on Friday taking the overall tally to 2,38,632 in the state.
Six new deaths are reported on October 30 taking the total tally to 1,336. The fatality rate in the state is 0.56 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 286 new cases while Rangareddy reported 107 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 122 new cases while Khammam reported 77 new cases.
Around 1,486 citizens recovered from the infection on Friday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,18,887. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 91.72 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 91.3 per cent.
The government tested 41,243 citizens for the virus on Friday. So far 42,81,991 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,15,045. Still, 934 reports are awaited. 18,147 primary contacts are tested on Friday while 4,949 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 18,409 active cases. Of the total active cases, 15,439 are under home isolation.
Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
