COVID 19: Telangana reports 2,058 fresh COVID cases, Ten deaths on Monday
By Newsmeter Network Published on 15 Sep 2020 3:25 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana reported 2,058 new COVID cases on Monday taking the overall tally to 1,60,571 in the state.
Ten new deaths are reported on September 14 taking the total tally to 984. The fatality rate in the state is 0.61 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.64 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 277 new cases while Rangareddy reported 143 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Karimnagar reported 135 new cases while Warangal Urban reported 108 new cases.
Around 2,180 citizens recovered from the infection on Monday taking the tally of total recoveries to 1,29,187. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 80.45 per cent, which approximately two per cent higher than the national average of 78.26 per cent.
The government tested 51,247 citizens for the virus on Monday. So far 22,20,586 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 59,811.
The state currently has 30,400 active cases.
Of the total cases, 23,534 are under home isolation. Of those, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 15.54 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 8.91 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 53.87 per cent. 46.13 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
Vacancy of beds:
The state currently has 17,730 vacant beds for COVID patients.
Around 11,518 isolation beds, 4,626 oxygen beds, and 1,586 ICU beds are lying vacant in different state hospitals.
