COVID 19: Telangana reports 2,103 fresh COVID cases, Eleven deaths on Tuesday
By Newsmeter Network Published on 30 Sep 2020 4:05 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana reported 2,103 new COVID cases on Tuesday taking the overall tally to 1,91,386 in the state.
Eleven new deaths are reported on September 29 taking the total tally to 1,127. The fatality rate in the state is 0.58 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.56 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 298 new cases while Rangareddy reported 172 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Medchal Malkajigiri reported 176 new cases while Nalgonda reported 141 new cases.
Around 2,243 citizens recovered from the infection on Tuesday taking the tally of total recoveries to 1,60,933. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 84.08 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 83.27 per cent.
The government tested 55,359 citizens for the virus on Tuesday So far 29,96,001 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 80,494. Still, 975 reports are awaited. 24,358 primary contacts are tested on Tuesday while 6,643 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 29,326 active cases. Of the total active cases 23,880 are under home isolation.
Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 21 and 40 years contribute to 29.98 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 8.85 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
