COVID 19: Telangana reports 2,239 fresh COVID cases, Eleven deaths on Friday
By Newsmeter Network Published on 26 Sep 2020 4:02 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana reported 2,239 new COVID cases on Friday taking the overall tally to 1,83,866 in the state.
Ten new deaths are reported on September 25 taking the total tally to 1,091. The fatality rate in the state is 0.59 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.58 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 316 new cases while Rangareddy reported 192 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Nalgonda reported 141 new cases while Karimnagar reported 106 new cases.
Around 2,281 citizens recovered from the infection on Friday taking the tally of total recoveries to 1,52,441. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 82.90 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 81.98 per cent.
The government tested 58,925 citizens for the virus on Friday So far 28,00,761 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 75,438. Still, 882 reports are awaited. 25,927 primary contacts are tested on Friday while 7,071 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 30,334 active cases. Of the total active cases 24,683 are under home isolation.
Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 15.54 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 8.91 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 53.87 per cent. 46.13 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
