COVID 19: Telangana reports 2,381 fresh COVID cases, Ten deaths on Thursday
By Newsmeter Network Published on 25 Sep 2020 3:50 AM GMTHyderabad: Telangana reported 2,381 new COVID cases on Thursday taking the overall tally to 1,81627 in the state.
Ten new deaths are reported on September 24 taking the total tally to 1,080. The fatality rate in the state is 0.59 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.58 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 386 new cases while Rangareddy reported 227 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Nalgonda reported 132 new cases while Karimnagar reported 119 new cases.
Around 2,021 citizens recovered from the infection on Thursday taking the tally of total recoveries to 1,50,160. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 82.67 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 81.71 per cent.
The government tested 57,621 citizens for the virus on Thursday So far 27,41,836 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 73,851. Still, 1,659 reports are awaited. 25,353 primary contacts are tested on Thursday while 6,914 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 30,387 active cases. Of the total active cases 24,592 are under home isolation.
Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 15.54 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 8.91 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 53.87 per cent. 46.13 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
