COVID 19: Telangana reports 837 fresh COVID cases, Four deaths on Monday

Four new deaths are reported on October 26 taking the total tally to 1,315. The fatality rate in the state is 0.56 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.5 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 185 new cases while Rangareddy reported 59 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Khammam reported 76 new cases while Karimnagar reported 51 new cases.
Around 1,554 citizens recovered from the infection on Monday taking the tally of total recoveries to 2,13,466. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 91.14 per cent, which approximately one per cent higher than the national average of 90.3 per cent.
The government tested 21,099 citizens for the virus on Monday. So far 41,15,516 samples have been tested in the state. Samples tested per million population stand at 1,10,572. Still, 412 reports are awaited. 9,283 primary contacts are tested on Monday while 2,531 secondary contacts are tested.
The state currently has 17,890 active cases. Of the total active cases, 14,851 are under home isolation.
Of total positive cases, 70 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 30 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 14.72 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 9.02 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 55.04 per cent. 44.96 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
