COVID 19: Testing in Telangana crosses 20L, 2,426 fresh COVID cases on Thursday

Telangana reported 2,426 new COVID cases on Thursday taking the overall tally to 1,52,602 in the state.
Thirteen new deaths are reported on September 10 taking the total tally to 940. The fatality rate in the state is 0.61 per cent which is less than the national average of 1.67 per cent.
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation area reported 338 new cases while Rangareddy reported 216 new cases. Districts of Telangana is seeing the increase in cases. Nalgonda reported 164 new cases while Karimnagar reported 129 cases.
Around 2,426 citizens recovered from the infection on Thursday taking the tally of total recoveries to 1,19,467. The recovery rate, as per the government now stands at 78.2 per cent, which approximately higher than the national average of 77.63 per cent.
The state currently has 32,195 active cases.
Of the total cases, 25,240 are under home isolation. Of those, 69 per cent are asymptomatic with no severe signs of distress while 31 per cent are symptomatic.
According to the state, men aged between 31 and 40 years contribute to 15.54 per cent of the total cases. Women aged between 21 and 30 years contribute to 8.91 per cent of the total cases.
The deaths due to comorbidities have risen to 53.87 per cent. 46.13 per cent of victims had no comorbidities.
Vacancy of beds:
The state currently has 17,728 vacant beds for COVID patients.
Around 11,463 isolation beds, 4,638 oxygen beds, and 1,627 ICU beds are lying vacant in different state hospitals.
