Hyderabad police arrests two Afghan students for assaulting Sudan national at a pub

Hyderabad: Police arrested two Afghanistan nationals, who had allegedly assaulted a Sudan national on the main road outside Liquid Pub at Punjagutta of Hyderabad, on Saturday. The accused, Esmatullah Noorjoy and Khosayi Ismail, had entered into a brawl with the victim inside the pub, after which they came out and attacked him on the main road, injuring him. Police found that the fight broke after the accused allegedly passed comments at the victimā€™s girlfriend.

According to the cops, the accused are in the city on student visas, pursuing their Bachelors. Last Sunday night, they went to the pub at Somajiguda under the limits of Punjagutta police station. The victim, who is also a student in the city, came to the pub with his girlfriend. While the party was going on, the accused allegedly passed lewd comments at the girl. The victim noticed this and requested them to stay away. However, the duo continued harassing the girl, due to which the Sudan national picked an argument with the Afghan pair.

Later, as they were clearing the pub, the accused passed comments at the girl again, infuriating the Sudan national. The latter began to question the duo and from there to a brawl. In the process, Noorjoy and Ismail allegedly attacked the victim, injuring him. The latter immediately alerted the police, and they sent him for medical tests. Furthermore, police registered a case based on his complaint and arrested the duo on Saturday.
