18 arrested for murder of 33YO in LB Nagar on New Year's eve
The victim was celebrating his birthday with his friends on 31 December 2021 when they clashed with another group that was celebrating the new year in the open ground behind KK Gardens.

Hyderabad: The LB Nagar police on Thursday arrested 18 persons for the murder of a 33-year-old man on New Year's eve.
The victim, Vydugula Narasimha Reddy of Nagarjuna Sagar Town in Nalgonda district, was celebrating his birthday with his friends on 31 December 2021 when they clashed with another group that was celebrating the new year in the open ground behind KK Gardens. Narsimha was killed in the clash while another person, Mohd. Ghouse, suffered a head injury.
Initially, there were three persons in the second group – Malik, Mittu, and Raghava – but later their friends and relatives joined them and attacked Narsimha with stones and sticks. The LB Nagar police rounded up 18 assailants, seized two cars, motorbikes, and mobile phones that contained some incriminating audio.
The police said 21 persons were involved in the attack. They arrested 18 persons, identified as Balam Manik Raj (26), Balam Goutham (30), Maheshwaram Ganesh alias Mittu (24), Mekkonda Manoj (25), Sonamoni Anil Kumar (24), Nalla Srujan Kumar (23), Varikuppla Ramesh (25), Chegoni Nagendar Goud (30), Andekar Naresh (27), Bojidi Sai Kiran (26), Dabbikar Prasanth (19), Sankabudi Naveen Yadav (20), Mohammed Fayaz Khan (23), Mogila Raju (26), Godugu Vijay Kumar (27), Nalagutta Raghava Chary (21), Pedagoni Bharath (25), and Manapati Sharath kumar (28). Three others – Vellapudas Mahesh Goud, Karthik, and Bhargav – are yet to be arrested.
Three of the accused – Balam Manik Raj, Mittu, and Manoj – have a criminal history and several cases have been registered against them in Meerpet and Sarrornagar police stations.
