20YO Balapur youth arrested for kidnapping, molesting minor

The accused, Tatipatri Ramesh of Mamidipally village in Balapur mandal of Ranga Reddy district, is an auto driver.

According to the complaint lodged by the girl's father, he received a call from his wife on the morning of 2 December saying that their four-year-old daughter was missing from their home. He rushed home and started searching for the girl in the surrounding areas but could not find her.

While he and his friend were on a motorbike looking for the girl, they found her with Ramesh who was misbehaving with her. He brought his daughter home and she told them the entire incident. Based on the father's complaint the police registered a case under various sections of the IPC and POCSO Act.

The Pahadishareef police arrested Tatipatri Ramesh on Thursday and produced him before the court for judicial custody.
