27YO arrested in connection with death of minor girl in Vizag
The police has registered cases under section 376 of the IPC and section 6 of POCSO

Visakhapatnam: The Visakhapatnam city police arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the death of a 14-year-old girl who jumped from the terrace of a fifth floor apartment in the Aganampudi area under Duvvada police station.
The commissioner of police, Manish Kumar Sinha, during a press conference here on Saturday, said Digumati Naresh alias KTM Naresh had a sexual relationship with the minor.
Naresh is from Kothapeta in Vizianagaram but moved to Vizag for work. He had befriended the girl who is the daughter of a watchman in a nearby apartment.
The commissioner said the police found hundreds of messages between Naresh and the girl. He said that on the day of the incident, she was with him in his room when she heard her parents calling her. Scared that her parents might find out about her relationship, she ran to the terrace and jumped to her death, the police said.
After hearing a loud thud, her parents rushed to the cellar to find her body lying in a pool of blood. They rushed her to the hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. The police arrested Naresh and registered cases under section 376 of the IPC and section 6 of POCSO. The accused is currently in judicial remand.
