3 arrested in Hyderabad for illegal sale of PDS rice
According to the police, Ayaz had hired Saif and Irfan to collect PDS rice from the locals at low prices. The rice was then dumped at Nasheman Nagar in Bhavaninagar. From there, Ayaz transported the rice to Salman who then sent the rice to other states.

Hyderabad: The south zone police arrested three persons on 21 June for illegally storing PDS rice and seized 10 tonnes of rice.
Shaik Ayaz (22), Mohammed Saif (30), and Shaik Irfan (22) were caught at Bhavaninagar in Hyderabad. Another accused, Salman, is absconding.
According to the police, Ayaz had hired Saif and Irfan to collect PDS rice from the locals at low prices. The rice was then dumped at Nasheman Nagar in Bhavaninagar. From there, Ayaz transported the rice to Salman who then sent the rice to other states.
The police found that earlier, a case under the Essential Commodities Act was registered against Ayaz at the Mailardevpally police station in Cyberabad.
Besides rice, two four-wheelers were also seized during the raid conducted jointly by the south zone DCP team, civil supplies officials, and the Bhavaninagar police.
