3 CRPF troopers killed, 4 injured after jawan opens fire in Chhattisgarh

Tragedy hit Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Monday morning when a soldier went berserk and shot dead three colleagues and injured three others inside the Lingalapalli camp base in Sukma district of Chattisgarh.

Police said at 3:15 am, Reetesh Ranjan started firing indiscriminately at his colleagues at Lingalapalli camp base of 50 battalion CRPF under the Maraiguda police station limits. Seven jawans were injured in the incident. They were rushed to a hospital in the Bhadrachalam area for treatment. However, three of them succumbed to their wounds

The slain soldiers have been identified as Dhanji, Rajib Mondal, and Rajmani Kumar Yadav. The injured jawans identified as Dhananjay KR Singh, Dharmendra KR, Dharmatma Kumar, and Malaya Ranjan Maharana are undergoing treatment.
