Hyderabad: In a joint operation, the Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone and the Moghalpura Police apprehended three individuals for allegedly selling Mephentermine Sulphate injections without a valid license.

A total of 102 vials of the drug, along with mobile phones and syringes, worth a total of Rs 1.2 lakh, were seized during the raid conducted at Hari Bowli X Roads.

Accused used online platform for procurement

The main accused, Syed Asad (28), a tailor by profession and resident of Shahalibanda, reportedly procured the controlled drug online through India Mart from New Delhi. He initially used the drug himself and later began distributing it illegally through known associates: Ahmed Qureshi (30), who runs a beef shop and a 17-year-old, both residents of Balapur, Ranga Reddy District.

Police allege that the accused sold the drug at inflated rates to individuals seeking rapid muscle gain. Authorities confirmed that no medical license was held by any of the accused to possess or sell the Schedule H drug, which requires a prescription from a registered medical practitioner.
