3 Hyderabad police officers suspended for misconduct

3 Hyderabad police officers suspended for misconduct

Hyderabad: City police commissioner Anjani Kumar has placed three police officers under suspension with immediate effect. The officers were suspended for misconduct, corruption, moral turpitude, and intimidating complainants.

The suspended officers are P. Sivashanker Rao, SHO of Chikadpalli police station; P. Narsing Rao, a sub-inspector of Chikadpalli police station; and P. Nagaraj Goud, sub-inspector of Central Crime Station.

In October 2021, three police officers, an inspector and two sub-inspectors of Mangalhat police station, were suspended for their alleged nexus with ganja peddlers in the area. In another similar incident, in July 2021, a sub-inspector and four constables of the same Mangalhat police station were suspended by the city police commissioner for their alleged involvement in illegal activities in relation to the investigation of a gambling case registered in November 2020.
