Hyderabad: The Cyber Crime Police, Hyderabad, arrested three persons in Bengaluru who are said to be harassing people using instant loan apps. In continuation to the raids conducted on 21 December in Hyderabad and Gurgoan, the police traced two call centres in HSR Layout area in Bengaluru.
The three accused persons are identified as K. Eswar, a native of Kurnool, Madhusudhan and Satish Kumar. Both the call centres had 350 telecallers operating inside. In this loan app harassment case, 27 cases have been registered by the Cyber Crime Police so far.
Around 42 apps relating to instant loans have been identified that were being handled by four companies: Liufang Technologies Pvt Ltd, Pin Print Technologies Pvt Ltd, Hotful Technologies Pvt Ltd, and Nabloom Technologies Pvt Ltd.
Till now, investigation revealed 350 virtual accounts/bank accounts that were registered by these companies and an approximate amount of Rs. 87 crores are said to be frozen in the accounts.
The police issued an advisory asking people to be cautious while approaching loan apps for their financial needs.
