The Madhapur police registered a case and with the help of SOT, Madhapur zone, interrogated all the 35 workers of the service center.

3 who stole Rs. 55L from Madhapur car service centre arrested

Hyderabad: The Madhapur police with the help of the special operations team, Madhapur zone, arrested three persons who had stolen Rs. 55 lakh from a car service centre in Madhapur. The entire stolen amount was recovered.

The three accused have been identified as Mohammed Taher (20), a mechanic, and two 19-year-old students - Syed Jawed and Saif Mohiuddin. All are residents of the Asif Nagar area in the city.

On 10 December, the police received a complaint from Allam Srikanth Reddy who runs a multi-brand luxury car service center, Sri Motors, located at the 100 feet road in Madhapur. He said he had kept Rs. 55 lakh cash in an almirah in the office which was locked by watchman Balaraju on the night of 9 December. The next day when he came to the shop, he found the almirah broken and the cash missing.


CCTV footage revealed that a person had entered the store by removing the screws of the back door, broke open the almirah, and stole the cash.

The Madhapur police registered a case and with the help of SOT, Madhapur zone, interrogated all the 35 workers of the service center. They suspected Mohammed Taher and interrogated him. Taher admitted to committing the burglary with the help of his friends Syed Javed and Saif Mohiuddin.

The police recovered Rs. 20,00,000 each from Taher and Jawed's homes and Rs. 15,00,000 from the house of Mohiuddin.
