The police seized seven pills of MDMA, four small packets of MDMA powder, 100 gms of dry ganja, two four-wheelers, and four mobile phones from them.
The arrested persons have been identified as Thangeti Bharat, V. Nooka Raju, S. Durga Prasad, and Ch. Venkatesh. The police said Bharat had earlier been involved in two ganja cases and some property offences in Vizag city.
Venkata Ramana, an inspector of Yelamanchili police station, said earlier Bharat used to procure ganja from Vizag Agency and go to Goa to sell the same at high prices. While returning from Goa, he used to procure MDMA pills and powder.
The accused persons claimed they had come to the resort to consume drugs. However, the police suspect they had come to the resort to sell drugs. "We have formed a special team to investigate the case and nab a few others, including Johnson, Joya, and Neeraj (from Goa) and others," the officer added.
A source said the four youths had been visiting Kondakarla and other areas to sell drugs to some customers. Their mobile phones revealed their links to some drug suppliers in Goa.
