4 who attacked, robbed man nabbed; cash, foreign currency recovered

Hyderabad: The cops of CCS LB Nagar along with the Vanasthalipuram police of Rachakonda police commissionerate, on 21 December, arrested four persons who had robbed a house.

The accused have been identified as Vadlamudi Nikhil (23), Vadlamudi Vinay Choudary (27), Yela Uday Kumar (23), and Gogineni Brahma Teja (22).

Nikhil knew the victim Sathish Sikha and he also knew that Satish kept large sums of cash and valuable items at his home and that he lived alone. On 14 December, the four men visited Sathish's home and attacked him. They tied him with ropes, gagged him, and robbed him by pointing a toy pistol at him. They stole cash worth Rs. 1,18,000, foreign currency notes, mobiles, laptops, passports, a car, and a bike. Later, the police recovered Rs. 25,000 cash, foreign currency notes, passports and Aadhar cards, and other materials all worth Rs. 25,05,000 from the four accused.

According to the police, Nikhil is a habitual offender and was involved in several bike theft cases in Ballari and Davanagere in Karnataka. In 2019, he was also involved in a property case in Raidurgam police station in Cyberabad. Nikhil and Vinay are relatives and all four are childhood friends from Ballari. The four had taken loans from friends and relatives and were unable to repay their debts. They hatched a plan to commit the theft to solve their financial troubles.
