Hyderabad: Attapur Police have arrested four youths for performing dangerous bike stunts and reckless driving on a busy road, endangering public safety.

Stunts on busy road raise alarm

According to police, the incident occurred on March 27 around 8 pm when a patrol team from Attapur Police Station was on duty between pillar number 143 and Aramghar Road.

The team noticed a Honda Dio being ridden in a dangerous manner, with the rider allegedly performing risky stunts on a public road.

When the police attempted to stop the vehicle, the rider reportedly sped away, continuing to drive rashly and negligently, posing a serious threat to other commuters.

Police register case, track down accused

Based on the complaint filed by Police Constable C Sabitha, a case was registered under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Motor Vehicles Act, including rash driving and dangerous riding.

Following the investigation, police identified and apprehended four individuals allegedly involved in the incident:

- Md. Amer Baba (21), an AC technician

- Mohammed Ashwak (19), a bike mechanic

- Mohammed Sameeruddin (26), a car driver

- Mohammed Nashit (20), a delivery executive

All four accused were produced before the court on March 31 and were remanded to judicial custody.


Police issue warning

Police officials reiterated that strict action will be taken against individuals indulging in dangerous stunts and reckless driving. They also warned that any rowdy-sheeters involved in unlawful activities will be closely monitored and dealt with as per the law.

Inspector of Police, Attapur Police Station, stated that such enforcement drives will continue to ensure road safety and prevent accidents.
