Hyderabad: City police have rescued six child laborers from a bangle-making unit.

Police also arrested the man who had brought the children from Bihar

On credible information, the Commissioner's Task Force, South Zone team along with Chatrinaka police, Child Welfare officials, and Special Revenue Inspector, Bandlaguda raided the bangle-making unit at Lalitha Bagh in Uppuguda.

Police rescued 6 child laborers, aged below 14 years from Bihar. Police also arrested Rajesh Das (39) of Sultan Sahi, Charminar.

The rescued child laborers were handed over to the Child Welfare Officials. The accused brought the children here from Bihar and exploited them in his hazardous bangle-making unit.

The accused was handed over to Station House Officer (SHO), Chatrinaka Police Station for further action, the police added.
