6 held for the murder in broad daylight at Mailardevpally

Hyderabad: The Mailardevpally police arrested six persons on Saturday for allegedly hacking their rival to death in broad daylight on 1 April. The victim, Asad Khan, was attacked with sickles and knives when he and his cousin brother were travelling to Asad's house at Shama Colony from Teegalkunta.

Their bike was intercepted at Vettepally by persons travelling in an auto. They attacked Asad repeatedly until he succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The cousin managed to escape with injuries and then later filed a complaint with the police about the incident. He said that he suspected the role one Yaseen Khan who along with others killed Asad Khan to take revenge for the murder of his father Mohammad Amjad Ali Khan who he believed was killed by Asad Khan.

After a preliminary investigation, the police arrested Yaseen Khan, Md. Adnan, Abdul Ali, Md. Mahaboob, Md. Saddam and Md. Shoiab for the murder of Asad Khan. They were the ones who intercepted Asad Khan in auto and attacked him.

It was alleged that on 22 September 2018 Asad Khan with the help of Afroz Khan, Md. Irfan, Shaik Kaleem, Abdul Shaik Khadeer, and Md. Farooq murdered Amjad Ali Khan. To take avenge his father's death Yaseen Khan murdered Asad Khan, the police said. A case has been registered and the accused were produced in court.
