Hyderabad: A 67-year-old was sentenced to three years imprisonment on 21 July in a POCSO Act case.
In 2015, the police received a complaint from a woman, a resident of Sarrornagar mandal. She said that on 18 December 2015 while she was at work, her five-year-old daughter was at her grandmother's house. V. Krishna Reddy, a watchman, called the girl to his place and asked her to remove her clothes. He escaped the spot when she raised a hue and cry
Based on the complaint, a case was registered at the Pahadishareef police station and Krishna was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
During the trial held on 21 July 2022, the MSJ court at LB Nagar convicted Krishna to undergo three years imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 1,000.
