Hyderabad: 75YO man gets 5-yr jail for sexually assaulting minor
A 75-year-old man was sentenced to five years in prison on 20 January for sexually assaulting a minor girl.

Hyderabad: A 75-year-old man was sentenced to five years in prison on 20 January for sexually assaulting a minor girl.
On 30 January 2020, the Neredmet police had received a complaint from the victim's mother. The woman said that her daughters were playing in front of their house in the evening when the accused, Shaik Hyder alias Yousuf, called her younger daughter, a six-year-old, to his house. He promised to give her Bonda bajji. He then sexually assaulted the girl.
Based on the complaint, the Neredmet police registered a case. They arrested Yousuf and remanded him to judicial custody.
On 20 January 2022, an LB Nagar court convicted Yousuf to undergo five years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 1,000 against him. The court also awarded compensation of Rs. 2 lakh to the victim.
