86 kg of ganja en route to Delhi from Odisha seized at Dundigal ORR; 2 held

Cyberabad SOT Rajendranagar team along with Dundigal police busted the trafficking operation and nabbed two accused along with the vehicle that was being used for the transportation.
Case details
On Friday, the sleuths of Cyberabad Special Operations Team (SOT), Rajendranagar team along with Dundigal Police intercepted a Honda city near ORR, Dundigal, and apprehended a male peddler and a female transporter and recovered 86 kg of dry Ganja worth Rs 30,10,000. The drug was being taken to Delhi from Berhampur (Odisha).
The accused have been identified as Sunindra Kumar Singh (25) and Laxmi (30). Three more accused are absconding.
Sunindra Kumar is a resident of Odisha and he along with a person named Raju, the main supplier, would transport ganja. Raju asked Sunindra Kumar to make some modifications to his car. In this connection, they have made some modifications to Sunindra Kumarās Honda City car and they have created two secret boxes in the car to hide the ganja packets.
Shiva, another associate, took the car from Sunindra Kumar at Berhampur to load the ganja packets in the secret boxes. On the advice of Raju, Shiva loaded the 1 kg and 2 kg ganja packets weighing 86 kg and gave the car to another associate called Amit.
Sunindra Kumar Singh hired Laxmi to act as his wife. He offered her Rs 6,000. Sunindra planned to tell the police he was taking his wife to Delhi for medical treatment. However, their car was intercepted at the ORR and the packets were discovered. The total worth of the seizure is Rs 33,21,710.
On detailed verification, the accused Sunindra Kumar was previously involved in two cases in which a case was registered under the NDPS act at Nathavarm PS of AP and he had been in judicial custody for seven months. Previously, Sunindra Kumar used to transport dry ganja for four years around 7-8 times to Nagpur, Delhi, Badrachalam and Narsipatnam.
