Hyderabad: Sleuths of Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught red-handed two government officials while they were taking bribes. The ACB conducted raids in multiple locations and cracked a whip on officials demanding bribes to execute official works.

At Medak district, the ACB officials caught an assistant engineer of Kallakal circle and village, Manoharabad mandal, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant to release power supply by erecting 63KVA 3-phase DTR under LT Category III.
The accused officer had initially demanded a bribe of Rs 30,000 from the complainant, out of which he had already accepted Rs 10,000. The bribe amount was recovered from the accused officerās possession. The AE was arrested and was being produced before the IInd Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB cases at Nampally.

In another case, Nallanti Vinod, 32nd ward officer, Sathupalli town of Khammam district was caught by ACB officials for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2,500 from the complainant āto process ration card and Indiramma house sanction applicationsā in favour of the complainant. The bribe amount was recovered from Vinod, ACB officials said.
The ACB officials urged people to call 1064 (toll-free number) to report any public servant asking for a bribe. The name and details of the complainant would be kept confidential.
