ACB arrests Kamareddy SDPO, recovers Rs 2.11 crore `illegally acquired' property

ACB arrests Kamareddy SDPO, recovers Rs 2.11 crore `illegally acquired property

Hyderabad: Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Taya Laxmi Narayana, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Kamareddy Sub Division in the disproportionate assets case.

ACB unearthed assets worth Rs 2,11,84,109 from Taya Laxmi Narayana. He has been booked under the Prevention of Corruption Act. ACB said huge assets were acquired by corrupt and dubious means.

ACB has conducted searches at various places in Hyderabad, Nalgonda and Kamareddy district. "It was revealed that Taya Laxmi Narayana has amassed assets disproportionate to his known source of income in the form of net cash, Gold, open plots, agricultural land, residential houses at Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Kamareddy, Nalgonda, and Nizamabad districts," said ACB.

The ACB has uncovered three residential houses in Secunderabad, Saroornagar, and Miryalaguda in Nalgonda district. They have also uncovered 17 agricultural land and open plots in different districts.
