ACB catches Amberpet line inspector accepting Rs 6,000 bribe

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Wednesday caught a Line Inspector from the Telangana power department red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 in exchange for extending an official favour.

Bribe for installation of transformer

He allegedly demanded a bribe from a contractor to facilitate the release of service numbers for a project involving the installation of a sanctioned 63 KV transformer and new electricity meters at a residential complex near Sreyas College, Thattiannaram in Abdullapurmet mandal.
