Accused in attempt to murder case caught in 48 hours
The police from the Meerpet Police station on Wednesday managed to nab the accused in an attempt to murder case within 48 hours.

Hyderabad: The police from the Meerpet Police station on Wednesday managed to nab the accused in an attempt to murder case within 48 hours.
According to the police, the accused is Cheruku Rahul Goud, 25, and works in real estate. He got acquainted with a family through a friend. By meeting them on multiple occasions, he managed to take the number of a woman in the family. He then started harassing her by demanding that she get physical with him.
Later, the woman complained to the police and a case was registered against Rahul under the Nirbhaya Act. He was sent to judicial custody but was released on bail.
To take revenge on the woman, he purchased an axe to attack her. The CCTV footage at the woman's house on 1 February showed him arrive on a scooty, get down, attack her and then escape.
The woman sustained injuries on her hand and arm and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Based on the evidence, the accused was arrested on Wednesday.
