Actress Swati Dixit faces legal action over property dispute in Jubilee Hills

Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against film actress Swati Dixit and several others in connection with an ongoing property dispute in Jubilee Hills. The case revolves around plot No 1141, located on Jubilee Hills Road No 58, whose owner is reportedly currently residing in the United States.

According to Jubilee Hills SI Sriramgopi, Swati Dixit’s friends were intermediaries in the property’s sale. However, transactions between the parties resulted in escalating financial disputes. The discord took a legal turn when Swati Dixit attempted to lease the property to another individual, sparking a prolonged legal battle.

The situation considerably escalated on Monday afternoon at approximately 3:30 pm when Swati Dixit, accompanied by Chintala Sai Prashant and 20 others, forcefully entered the controversial property. The group allegedly broke through the front gate, causing significant damage to the premises.

Purimita Sobha, the wife of the security guard assigned to the property allegedly faced verbal abuse and threats from the group who reportedly demanded that she vacate the house or face dire consequences.

After a complaint from Shobha on Monday night, the Jubilee Hills police have registered a case against 20 individuals, including Swati Dixit, Chintala Sai Prashant, Ranveer Singh, and Kande Ram Kumar. The charges encompass sections 147 (rioting), 148 (rioting, armed with a deadly weapon), 447 (criminal trespass), 427 (mischief causing damage), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code, in addition to section 147. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
