Adilabad engineer caught accepting bribe of Rs 2 lakh

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Anti-corruption Bureau booked Gadicharla Chandrashekar, serving as an engineer in Adilabad in a bribe case. The investigating agency on 28th January laid a trap and caught ChandraShekar red-handed accepting bribe of Rs 2 lakh.
According to Ramini Sunil (complainant) the accused demanded bribe for an official favour that is to record the measurements of works executed and forward the files to the deputy engineer for further process. The accused was arrested and produced before a special court for ACB cases.
Meanwhile in a separate incident, ACB booked Sabeel Baba- serving as a computer operator in the office of assistant divisional engineer –TSSPDCL-Tandur. The accused was caught accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a complainant Mohd Khalid. The bribe was for Sabeel to process a file.
The officials of ACB appeal to general public to report against corrupt officials. Citizens can contact ACB on 1064.
