African national arrested for selling cocaine in Banjara Hills, 11 days after release from jail

Hyderabad: An African national was arrested in Hyderabad's Banjara Hills for selling cocaine on 24 November, 11 days after he was released from jail.

The Enforcement team seized 61 grams of cocaine and a mobile phone from Samuel Smith Nelson (32). Further inquiry revealed that he brought the contraband from Ite-Igwe Iron Pot alias Felix from Mumbai who is now absconding.

Samuel is from Ghana and lives in Towlichowki here. On 19 August, he, along with two Nigerians, was arrested for possession of six grams of cocaine. After he was released from jail on 12 November he contacted his supplier in Mumbai and got cocaine on 15 November. He then started contacting his old customers.

Following a tip-off, Samuel was caught while he was trying to deliver the cocaine to one of his customers near Virinchi Hospital, Road No.1, Banjara Hills.

The original case papers along with the accused, seized contraband, and drawn samples were handed over to the SHO, Prohibition and Excise station, Nampally.
