Hyderabad: An elderly road rage victim succumbed after battling for life for more than 15 days. Anjaneyulu a retired RTC employee was grievously injured in an attack at Alwal on September 30.
The incident occurred when Anjaneyulu was crossing the road. A young man and woman were riding a motorcycle at extreme speed. Alarmed by dangerous driving, Anjaneyulu advised the duo to slow down.

Enraged by the comment, the young man stopped the bike and confronted the senior citizen. In a fit of rage, he attacked the man despite the young womanās attempts to stop him.
In the altercation, the assailant pushed Anjaneyulu, causing him to fall. He received a severe head injury. The elderly man was rushed to a nearby hospital. He was later shifted to Gandhi Hospital for specialized treatment.
After fighting for life for 15 days, Anjaneyulu passed away at the hospital. Anjaneyulu's son Praveen filed a complaint at Alwal Police Station against the attacker.
CCTV footage enabled police to identify and arrest the attacker.
He has been identified as 32-year-old Deepak, a private sector employee. He has been sent to remand.
