Anakapalli: The Golugonda police of Anakapalli district solved the mystery behind the murder of a man nine months after the crime and arrested three persons, including the victim's wife and her paramour. The arrested were identified as R. Ramalakshmi, her paramour S. Yerri Naidu, and her aunt Sanyasamma.

R. Satti Babu from Pakalapadu village under Golugonda mandal went missing in August 2021. Though the police registered a case and launched a search for him, their efforts proved futile.

Recently, Satti Babu's father R.D Naidu expressed doubts over the disappearance of his son and also revealed that Satti Babu's wife Ramalakshmi had an illicit affair with Yerri Naidu. The police interrogated Ramalakshmi and Yerri Naidu. The duo confessed to killing Satti Babu.

The police said Satti Babu came to know of his wife's affair with Yerri Naidu and warned the duo. Following this, Ramalakhmi and Yerri Naidu decided to kill Satti Babu with the help of the woman's aunt Sanyasamma. Yerri Naidu hired K. Krishna and paid him Rs. 50,000 to murder Satti Babu.

On 7 August 2021, Krishna and Yerri Naidu murdered Satti Babu by strangling him to death near the Yeleru canal in K Agraharam under Makavarapalem. They threw his body and his vehicle in the canal.

The police retrieved the vehicle from the waters. They said it is difficult to retrieve the body as the murder took place nine months ago. The police said Krishna was arrested in a ganja smuggling case recently.
