Visakhapatnam, May 27: Six persons were killed and six others sustained injuries in three different road accidents in Anakapalli district. In the first incident, three youngsters died on the spot when the car in which they were traveling rammed into a roadside tree near Makavarapalem in Anakapalli district.

The incident occurred when the driver was negotiating fallen tree branches on the road. Six youngsters were returning home after attending a marriage function in Tuni on Friday morning.

The deceased were identified as R Durga Prasad, Ellapu Nagendra, and P Rohit. Three injured youth were taken to hospital.

In another incident, two people were killed on the spot, and another suffered injuries when their van hit a stationary lorry on the national highway near Godicherla village in Anakapalli district.

Hailing from Krishna district, they were going for darshan to Simhachalam. The deceased were identified as Talari Venkateswaramma and Manada Ramesh.

In spate incident. a teenager died on the spot when his motorcycle hit a van.
