Andhra horror: 3 minors allegedly rape, murder eight-year-old in Nandyal; dump body in canal

The incident happened in Nandyal district in Andhra Pradesh
The girl was missing for four days. During the investigation, police found that she was gang-raped and murdered by three minors studying class VI and VII. However, police are yet to trace the girl's body.
According to the police, on July 7, the girl's father lodged a complaint with the police that his daughter had gone missing after she went to nearby ground. While the police formed teams, they couldn't trace her.
Later, a search was conducted with the help of sniffer dogs, when the police found three minor boys suspiciously and took them into custody. Preliminary investigation revealed that one of the minor boys confessed to police that they raped the girl and murdered her by pushing her into a canal due to fear of being caught.
According to Nandyal SP K Raghuveera Reddy, "The boys molested and pushed her into the canal. Two of the accused are 15 years old, while the other one is 12 years old,"
Based on the confession of the minors, police have launched a search operation in the backwaters of the River Krishna near the Muchumarri Lift Irrigation water pump house. SDRF teams have been deployed to search for the body in the river with the help of five boats. However, no traces were found yet.
