Andhra shocker: Minor student gives birth in college washroom, infant dies
The student had joined the school on June 19 and had been attending classes regularly

Prakasam: In a shocking incident, a 16-year-old student of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Kothapatanam in Prakasam district delivered a baby in the washroom.
The incident happened on Wednesday but came to light on Thursday. The infant died after delivery.
Reports said the student went to the bathroom during school hours and gave birth to a baby. When she did not return. a lady teacher and some students stormed the bathroom and found the baby lying dead beside the student who was in critical condition.
She was immediately shifted to RIMS Hospital in Ongole.
The student had joined the school on June 19 and had been attending classes regularly.
Speaking to the media, the Kothapatanam Circle Inspector said a person from her village is suspected to have impregnated her. "We will investigate the case based on her statement," he said.
A case has been registered.
