A man allegedly killed his seven-month pregnant wife after an altercation over baby milk turned violent at Nizamabad on Sunday.

Nizamabad: A man allegedly killed his seven-month pregnant wife after an altercation over baby milk turned violent at Nizamabad on Sunday.
Police have arrested the man and charged him for murder under section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. The accused has been identified as Gangadhar.
According to police, Gangadhar and Gangamani were married for three years and reside at Yelmala Village in Kammarpally Mandal in the district. They have an 18-month-old son. The couple was expecting their second child as Gangamani was in the seventh month of her pregnancy.
On Friday, Gangamani asked her husband to get milk for their son. Gangadhar said he would purchase it later and this led to a heated argument between the two.
Gangadhar in a fit of rage picked up a brick and hit Gangamani on her head. She collapsed and started bleeding profusely. She was rushed to a hospital in the Nirmal district where she later succumbed.
Based on a complaint from her father, police registered a case and arrested Gangaram.
