Balanagar cops arrest 3 with 2 litres of hashish oil bought from Tuni

Hyderabad: On Sunday, three persons were nabbed for procuring hashish oil from Tuni, Andhra Pradesh, and selling it in Hyderabad. The operation was organised by Special Operations Team (SOT) Balanagar Zone Team along with Medchal police.

Case details

The arrested have been identified as Kumara Swamy (21), Kodi Ajay Kumar (24) and Swamy Ganesh (26), residents of Visakhapatnam district. The police recovered 2.2 litres of hashish oil and other objects from them with a total worth of Rs 12.30 lakhs. Another accused named Nageswar Rao from Tuni is absconding.

Kumara Swamy hails from Golugunta of AP. He came to Hyderabad for livelihood and worked as a mechanic at a Koltas Pharma company in the Gandimaisamma area. As his earnings were not sufficient, he hatched a plan to peddle hashish oil in Hyderabad and its surrounding areas. Later, he contacted the ganja/hashish oil supplier Nageswar Rao alias Nagu in Tuni.

Later, Kumara Swamy contacted his friend Kodi Ajay Kumar and asked him to pick up the hashish oil from Nagu and deliver the same to him in Hyderabad. Kumara Swamy lured him with money and Ajay Kumar accepted his offer.

On the instruction of Kumara Swamy, on March 29, Ajay Kumar and his friend Lokavarapu Swamy Ganesh went to Tuni on their Pulsar Bike and picked up the contraband from Nagu. They came to Hyderabad on their bike and met Kumara Swamy at Gandimaisamma and after that, they went to Medchal.

However, they were stopped by the police conducting vehicle checks and their plans to sell the illegal hashish oil were foiled. Ajay Kumar was previously involved in multiple offences.
