Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police have issued an advisory warning citizens not to get trapped by fraudsters insisting for COVID-19 vaccine registration.
According to the police, complaints have indicated that cyber criminals are calling people in the name of COVID-19 vaccine registration and insisting for Aadhar, Email etc."Subsequently to authenticate Aadhar card they ask for One Time password, using the OTPs fraudsters open multiple bank accounts and use it for fraudulent means. Further they trick the innocents into revealing their cared related data and loot amount from their accounts" Cyberabad police said.
In the view of above, citizens are requested:
1. Not to believe in calls in the name of COVID-19 vaccine registration.
2. Not to share OTP received on your mobile phone.
3. Not to share your personal and Credit/Debit Card with unknown/strangers.
